Tippe Kids and Tippe Teens

At Tippe kids and teens matter!
They are involved in all aspects of our community life.

Some teach, some lead worship, some serve in Tippe Cafe
and, most importantly, serve in our outreach ministries as well.

And we follow their lead...not competing for their attention!
So, no regularly scheduled youth group or gatherings.
Instead, interest based activiites are shaped each season.

Education is offered kids and teens each Sunday Morning
during the program year.

Our teens regularly participate in Interfaith Youth Cafes.

This page is always underconstruction.
So check often and come on by for more detaisl.

Tippe Middle Schoolers....just for you!
Mark Your Calendars NOW!

Hope Is Something You Do

Hope Is Something You Do
is a four-hour workshop on peaceful conflict resolution skills. The Teen Leaders, a group of trained high school students, present this workshop twice a year to middle school students from Milwaukee schools and churches.

The House of Peace Teen Leaders present Hope Is Something You Do twice a year, every January and March. If you would like to have a group of middle school youth attend next year, please call Sean Lansing to register at (414) 410-4583. Space is limited! This year's dates are:

  • January 28, 2012
  • March 31, 2012

Participants who attend Hope is Something You Do will learn the following skills and concepts:
  • Four personal styles of solving conflicts that are almost always unsuccessful
  • The one personal style of solving conflicts (called the "True Me") that is almost always successful
  • The skills of "careful listening" and "careful talking" that help you get to "win-win" in most conflicts
  • Four types of conflict to help you analyze a situation and figure out exactly who or what is in conflict with who or what.
  • Three main causes of conflicts to help you realize what is behind a conflict

Using skits, storytelling, role plays, and simulation games, the participants have several opportunities to practice their new skills and apply them to situations at home, with friends, and at school. In the final activity, they role play the method as two countries at war attempting to end the killing and hatred, and negotiate terms for peace.

How can we educate and nurture young people in our own faith communities while preparing them for encounters in a pluralistic society?
It's a good question.
There are more religious young people in the world
 than ever before,
and they are interacting with increasing frequency.....
The answer is at the heart of what we do at IFYC.

You have to be a teen before you can
become an adult!
Thank God!
